Title: Photographs
Post by: DanJ on 11 October 2017, 05:16:13 PM
As my painting probably (absolutely definitely) is going to win any prizes (which there aren't any) or even accolades, I'll have to hope that photography will help me to victory.  However, what's best:

A) Big, crisp, in focus pictures of mediocre painting which highlights all my mistakes but which demonstrate some control of a camera.

B) Small, low resolution, slightly fuzzy out of focus pictures of the same figures which hides some of the more obvious errors and lets the viewer fill in the fuzziness with the correct details but which leaves me well in front for the 'rubbish photographer of the year' award.

Actually, winning 'rubbish photographer of the year' would still be a win, and as we all know it's winning that counts.

Photography helps, but if it ends up being 17 close ups of your thumb, you'll be fine (or may be not...)
