Ok forum - your chance to shape the figures that Phil will sculpt !
We need images posted on line of US infantry and Marines in winter wear, for 1950.1951 and 1952
That's M43 jacket, the pile caps and the famous Parka. The early Parka is WW2 pattern with a belt(often removed) and shirt pockets. It was also light tan as opposed to the later M1951 which was field green. Web is worn below the Parka.
The wisdom is the earlier model could function as a 1944/45 proxy.
In the images I have sent to Phil, the Parka hood appears often worn inside the helmet - the Argentines did the same in 92. Was it ever worn outside the helmet?
Look forward to what you source. Good poses will be awarded with a sculpt ! :(

To be honest, its hard to find inspiration in these padded Michelin men images !

If not a Centurion, I'd appreciate a MG team on the move like on the right, here. (i.e. not prone. >:()
Rear view - I know Techno loves the rear view

Thanks, Nobby.
I think I'll probably go for the Michelin Man in M43 jackets, look.
The guys in the extra long coats.....Hmmmm....A bit waffy as a 10mm sculpt....I believe they'll come out as just a bit too blobby....But I'll be guided by Sir.
Cheers - Phil
You could just do the guy in the blanket. You would have him finished in 30 seconds!
:-\
In an ideal World, I could do variations 'on a theme'.......Do one lot...then convert them....But that just means more outlay for Leon, for possibly not much return.
(Could always do something further down the road if there's a real call for them.)
I'll hang fire for a couple of days and see what the score is from Sir, James, and yourselves.
Cheers - Phil.

Outstanding Nobby. Thank you. :-bd I have recommended to the Head Shed that we keep to shorter Parkas and the layer type dress based around the M43. This has loads of proxy applications way beyond Korea.
I totally agree, James !
Cheers - Phil.
