Seriously.....As opposed to what I put above.

That is dedication.
Have to admit, drilling through hands is a fair old pain.....Especially when there are oodles to do.

That's some dedicated drilling! Those painting sticks are huge - are they not a bit unwieldy?
Title: Re: Renaissance Commission in 10mm
Post by: Duke Speedy of Leighton on 22 April 2017, 09:46:51 AM
Just depends on what you are used to I guess, they are only MaccyD's coffee stirrers...
Title: Re: Renaissance Commission in 10mm
Post by: toxicpixie on 22 April 2017, 11:49:56 AM
Are they? They look really long! I did use coffee stirrers but found them to thin... these days it's six inch lollipop sticks as they're big enough to actually hold.

Although I wonder if gluing them to a "grip" would mean thinner sticks work for me...

I can recommend this method. It has served me well for over 20 years. Temporary fixative is Copydex.

Started these on Monday...
Finished last night.
Spanish Arquibusiers, a few heavy weapons, some Elizabethan Knights that I'm passing on (they'll do for Spanish lights) and an organ gun Forbes kindly donated that I'm now bouncing on.

Impressive. The massed flags look great on the board. Also like the heraldry placed on the unit labels.

Are "rouge archers" wearing makeup, or members of a particularly unpleasant Cambodian political movement?

Well, it's back!
Graham asked for Papal Forces for his hero Caesar Borgia to add to this commission, and it's more red and yellow!

More civilians, v pleased with these.

Seeing it all based up as a proper army by Graham shows it's come together rather well.
All armies of the period should have civilians and hordes of animals in their train!

True that, there's always a bigger enemy force in a  different direction.
