Looking good! One minor quibble though, you might want to put a note somewhere that these are sold unpainted. Unless purchase now includes painting by Mr Harwood, in which case I would like to order a big bundle!

Leon, did you know that clicking on the 18th/19th Century German timber/brick house larger image actually brings up the WWII Russian tiled hut? Also, the link to the SYW just brings up the opening page.

Yeah, I noticed the house last night, I'll pop Jenna a message about that.  The AWI link was just to the main page, as new images have been added to the Brits/Americans/French and Germans.

Well it's been a long time since we've updated this!

I've just uploaded another batch of pics, mainly ones which were missing from the last couple of releases at the end of 2012, so we've got new pics for:

- AWI cavalry, both British and American (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/18th-Century-c13/AWI-British-sc67/ (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/18th-Century-c13/AWI-British-sc67/) and http://www.pendraken.co.uk/18th-Century-c13/AWI-American-sc65/ (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/18th-Century-c13/AWI-American-sc65/))
- All the Falkland's codes (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Post-War-Modern-c20/Falklands-British-sc282/ (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Post-War-Modern-c20/Falklands-British-sc282/) and http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Post-War-Modern-c20/Falklands-Argentinians-sc283/ (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Post-War-Modern-c20/Falklands-Argentinians-sc283/))

Plus, all the other releases, like the Carthaginian additions, the Nap Austrian High command, Mahdist camelry, ACW civilians, etc., etc.

I'm hoping to get another couple of ranges photo'd up soon, some of the Renaissance hopefully, and I might see if I can get the Sudan range done as well.  As well as those, I need to find some time to add some more of the donated pics we've received, to fill some more gaps.

Title: Re: Pendraken website photo info
Post by: Leon on 10 February 2013, 07:10:01 PM
And another 50 pictures added to the website today, so 100 added in a weekend!  There's still a long way to go, but it's a decent chunk.

This batch had the missing AWI British pics courtesy of Andy Mac: http://www.pendraken.co.uk/18th-Century-c13/AWI-British-sc67/ (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/18th-Century-c13/AWI-British-sc67/)

The rest of the pics are a random assortment, some pulled from fred12df's Discus posts on the website, some from previous Painting Comps, and a dozen or so sent by 'agtfos' a few years back now.  Thanks to everyone who's donated pics at any point, they're all appreciated!

These just arrived at Pendraken HQ today, painted SYW Brits and Prussians for our website. We'll get these photo'd and onto the site after the Phalanx show this weekend.

We've just added 166 pictures of our SCW ranges!  All of the infantry, cavalry, mortars, artillery crews, commanders and casualties have got images now, so head over and have a browse: https://pendraken.co.uk/inter-war/spanish-civil-war/

Aside from the Spanish Civil War itself, these codes provide all kinds of proxy options for other conflicts. We've got figures in berets, sombreros, caps, balaclavas, hats, helmets, turbans and fez, with summer troops in shirts and short-sleeves and winter troops in coats and cagoules.

We'll be adding the limber teams, artillery pieces and a couple of new vehicle pics in the next week or so.

I wish La Legion had fought someone I was interested in. The uniforms look so romantic, but I'm not that excited at the idea of raising another lot of turbans and scimitars.

The Legion fought each other in Syria in WWII, but only by appointment ;)
And not in their nice blue uniforms :(

Do we even have some suitable Berber or Rif tribes to fight La Legion?
Or is it a question of picking some suitable figures from different ranges? Arabs from the WW-1 range come the mind but not many more armed with rifles…?

Cheers,
Rob

Hello AoS

You could look at press-ganging some of the Afghan figures from https://pendraken.co.uk/colonial/1890s-north-west-frontier/ (https://pendraken.co.uk/colonial/1890s-north-west-frontier/)

Also a few from the Mahdi's hordes may assist:-

The Little Wars Touareg range from Lancashire Games still seems to be lost in the aether

Cheers

Thanks for the help folks!
I better put this on the backburner untill all the other projects are out of the way. Also; all the suggested 'proxy's' tend to be needed for their respective armies already in the making (Afghans, Sudan...).

Cheers,

If you have have a quiet afternoon, you could do some counting...

I’ve added photos to the website in the past, and despite thinking I had quite a lot of the Pendraken range, once you start adding them to the catalogue you realise just how vast the catalogue is!

Wonder how much is left unphotographed?

1315 codes left currently, so quite a bit to do still!  The WWI British (45 codes ish) are with a painter in Spain, the French-Indian War figures (20 codes) are with Kev Rouse, and all of the remaining WWII vehicles (170 ish) are with JAD Designs, so that ticks off a nice chunk.  I've got the GNW, French-Italian and Russo-Turk to blackwash next I think.

Cheers guys, appreciate it!  It's a bit of a personal mission for me now, as it was one of the first things I wanted to address when I took over things in 2010, when we had barely any photos at all.  We're over 70% of the way there now so the end is in sight!

We're over 70% of the way there now so the end is in sight!

The end is Nigh?

I don't wish to be negative  but...... That's what Techno had on his Sandwich board, when Octavian annexed Egypt in 30 BC and deposed Techno's then mistress Cleopatra.   Techno and Egypt are still here some time later.  Although most of Techno's Mistresses, tarts or women of ill repute have long gone.

I did try to make a list the other day

Cleopatra
One of Boudiccas daughters - The shorter one of the two I believe
Aethelfaled the easy ( Not the queen of the Mercians)
Freydís Eiríksdóttir.  ( He nearly lost his "chopper" to her fathers axe when caught "in flagrante when her father returned early from an exploring mission)
Eleanor of Aquitaine - He says he was only her advisor while her husband was away (yeah right)
Anne of Cleves. After the annulment to Henry  he joined her household as a painter and decorator.   Apparently while not the most attractive of his paramours  she was quite inventive. (Best I leave that to your imagination)
Nell Gwyn. He was particularly fond of her "Oranges"
Anne  Seymour Damer - Famous Sculptor. After posing as won of her muses, she taught him all he knows about sculpting.
At some point he got to America and got in with Laura Ingalls Wilder. Her little know erotic novel "Little Hump on the Prairie" is allegedly about their time together

I have not researched any more recently than this lest I find out something awkward.  :)

Note:- Unlike some of the "facts" I put on the forum these have been carefully researched and authenticated.

I'll be giving big hints for Mark to send me more plasters, very soon.

It would appear that our webguy was fiddling with the servers while I've been editing the site, so all of the images went AWOL...  I've uploaded them all again now so they should be back.
