What ho chaps!
Just wondering, and it is merely a ponder as I'm trying to keep my chocolate furled brain off other things, as a competition organiser type bod, would there be any interest (at all) in a competition at an event such as Milton Keynes Campaign?
*waits to be shot down in flames*
It would only need six players for a five game weekend (three Saturday and two Sunday). Each player brings an army and some terrain, or maybe preset terrain? Each round would be a different scenario from the book.
Or are we all too friendly and civilised? ;) :P
Will
Depending on where it is I'm in. ;)

So does this mean that at least 2 of us are not friendly and civilised ;) ;D ;D

My local show is Campaign in Milton Keynes, so Midlands really Luddite.

Just north of Oxford? Yeah i'm in. :)
That one is too far south for me but if such a friendly tournament was up north in a more civilised area I would be in.

Yeah, it's a hike down from Durham for me so a northern tourney would be great too!
That sounds good too
I'd be interested subject to dates etc.. When is Campaign?
MK is a bit far but for a weekend it might be viable.
I'd have to either borrow an army or paint very quick as Berkeley Vale club do 28mm on 120by60 bases.
To avoid those who eschew tournaments missing out mqrket it as a bootcamp come open day type thing perhaps?
I like that idea!
Campaign is the second weekend on May each year. So 7th & 8th May 2016 I guess. :)
Yes yes yes

That looks like a good date to me. I'll be there. :)

yes count me in, but again we at Berkeley only do it in 28mm so have to borrow army. Don't do smaller sizes as can't see the figures.
Would people prefer one day (3 games), one day (2 games) or two day (5 games, split 3/2)?
Cheers
Will
I won't be able to attend but as a first go I think 2 games in one day is the way to go to allow plenty of time for new players to get rules ironed out and as a first time competition there will be plenty of questions to be answered
Given it's just under 2hrs to MK I'd go 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday as I'd stay overnight.
Its a 4hr journey for me, so if is attend i'll be staying over. I'm happy with any format, but I thin 3 games in a day is pushing it, so two games per day for me.
Losing 3 games a day would be too much for you? ;) ;D
I would prefere 1 day 3 games
Spoke with out Dictator For Life Honourable Chairman andwe are on!
More organisational details later. 500 points of course. :)
Ooh! Exciting! :D
As Jim says, i'm looking forwards to a series of spectacular defeats. ;D
