Empire(Dragon Men) vs High Elves
Our first battle as expected it was a little slow  though still very enjoyable. I like this game, and hope get lots of fun from it.

Nice looking game. Those sabots show that other basing conventions work just as well.

Belated wotcha and welcome. Just leave your sanity at the door and you'll be fine, honest.

Missed the fact that it was your first post...not a bad start at all.

Yes they are and must say they do the job nicely.

Welcome on board and some nice pics of the game :).

Must say my only frustration with the game was the need to remember effects across phases such as casting Aspect of the Dragon during initiative phase 1, for it's fear effect of -1D6 in melee phase 5.  Or shooting with a " Powerful" weapon in phase 4 for-1D6 to  Protection roll in phase 6.
This does not spoil the game but is crying out for someone to create tokens for spells and effects.

Hi Runelord and welcome aboard.
I have played Warband several times now and find it easier to remember all the special effects now. I also typed out a brief list of all special rules for quick reference, that helped a lot.

Hi Bodvoc, Do you have a link to your list. To be honest we managed and I like the system, just thought tokens would be a nice touch without creating to much table clutter. A token as simple as " -1ML " for a reminder to allocate a -1die to that unit during the melee phase.

Though hopefully this post sows a few seeds to those more creative than I.

The main token i've found is needed is a 'direct charge' reminder.

Litko do a nice charge token you can see it in my pics and it can be sourced in the UK from Figures in Comfort, I think I paid £3:50 or £4:50 for a pack.

How big would these tokens need to be ?
Just wondering if they're something one of us could do for Leon to cast up as a 'flat metal'.....Or would those end up being a tad pricey ? :-\

As ever with tokens,  as unobtrusive as possible.   :)

I'll have a word with 'the Man' and see what he thinks. ;)
About the size of a 1 pee piece ?......Smaller ?

I like the Litko ones...I wish they came in more muted colours  though and not florescent  orange etc

Yes, I prefer tokens that blend in with the table.

Clutter is hard enough to keep on top of, and the visual aspect of the game is important.
