1) you get to see what everyone else is up to.
2) that extra effort everyone brings in.
3) New members and their take on things.
4) Prause and beating deadlines.
And
5) starting new projects, Falklands, Samuari and League of Augsberg for me.
Thanks Leon and Save for organising, good luck hudges! 8)
Yes, thank you Leon and Dave for putting this all on.
And thank you to the judges, too. Without them (like a referee at a sports match) none of this could work.
For me the competition has brought about the motivation to paint some 10mm bits and to get more involved on this forum (when I'm not falling foul of the rules ;) )
Good luck everyone!
Agreed. Thank you hudges (are they like Spanish judges?)
I entered not in any expectation of winning, but it was fun.
I enter to make up the numbers - not that the competition needs more participants. :)

At least he's honest ;D
I shall from henceforth regard myself as one of the 'hudges'.
But I don't know who this 'Save' is, or what this prause that Will's after is ? ;)
Anyone ? ;)

I enter because i want to, and in the hope nobody else enters, that way i can win ;D ;D ;D
I intend to enter every year but February always ends up a nutty month and so I am determined I will do it next year.

I'm starting now. :P ;)
Although I'm hoping the categories don't change too much :-SS
I wonder if there'll be a Warband category :-\
You paint it - Leon will find a way to get it in.

That's certainly true ;)
My entries will be:
1) Fantasy
2) Single base
I am starting now for next year. TYW pics from me will probably be a part, in the armies category.
I can't quite compete with anyone here for up-close stands. :'(
I love the competition because I usually paint things for it, then forgot to take pictures.

The pictures are the hardest bit!
im a rubbish photographer, but my lack of talent is so spectacular that it actually hides my lazy painting (a bit anyway) :-X

Fair comment ;)
I've enlisted a dude who "knows all about photography" to help me this time :) (No, he's not covered in green stuff :D )
Was certainly fun, pushed me to do a couple of one offs which may spawn new army ideas, lots of eye candy and praise and support from piers, roll on next year
I really enjoy the competition, looking at all the entries, seeing the hard work people have put in. I just hate the headache when it comes to deciding who gets the points :D.
Not really, it was another great year with some stunning art work and an ever improving standard right across the board. I've done my bit and my points are in. Those who promised me brides it's pay up time ;D
Good luck to every one who entered.
You okay Andymac? Been a while!

I'll stick my wife in the post then! ;)
Hi Wil, things are slowly getting better and things are improving. I've been busy painting AWI and SYW figures for numerous forum members, just not been posting images for a while. Hoping by the end of 2015 to have a decent whitebox, done a digital photography course and finally stared a blog. Drop me an email and we can have a proper chat.
Andy
Two reasons for me:
Firstly, simply because it gives me a kick to actually paint something ;)
The rest of the year I have very time, but every January I start squeezing every minute of painting in I can - which is still not very much with four sprogs, a wife and a house to look after! Oh, and the part time job! 8-}
Secondly, my now habitual competition with Wil. (Next year it will be a tradition!! ;) ) Although we might have to arrange things in October so I can set aside November for painting, because February seems to be our most insanely busy month of the year...
Cheers!
Meirion
Right, time to get the main event started - the now customary mad lemmey vs O Dinas Powys paint off.
The stakes are high: double-or-quits, so two hot chocolates this year :o
So, time for the preliminaries... http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11646.new.html#new (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11646.new.html#new)
