To conmemorate the 800 aniversary of the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa 1212, Edmund and I recreat the battle.

The battle was fought between Almoravid moors commanded by the Miramamolín and a league of three christian kings (Alfonso VIII from Castille, Sancho VIII from Navarra and Pedro II from Aragón). The battle was fought in Jaen and historically the Christian kings wins. An heroic act from King Sancho VIII breaking the stakes killing some slaves  who where chained around the almoravid camp gives the victory. As King Sancho brakes the chains Navarra coat d'arms earned the chains that prevail to nowdays.

This game was a quite different, so Almoravid takes the victory...

Let's battle begins:

Wow - excellent; that was surprisingly fluid given the deployment!

Warmaster seldom fails to give a good game, historical accuracy is sometimes in doubt, but its always a good game.

Hey thanks for the comments,

we aproach to sources of the battle to make the armylist and the deploy. It is hard for the christian player to movilize the army, but movement of troops is the main point in warmaster!

it was real fun.
