Aha!!  A challenge for the race to the bottom...

It'll be a hot contest for sure...

Prize?  An empty box?  A do it yourself kit (small hunk of lead and a lighter)?

Have to admit that I have been put off entering because of all the professional photography, montages and supersized pics that I keep seeing being posted but the thought of entering a Wooden Spoon competition is appealing Wink

Wow... I really like the quality of the basing that withoutdesign has used for his German infantry, maybe I need to rethink my own somewhat bland efforts.

Guys, please. If one comes last then me please. Besides full Totty points from Nik (I insist on them) for the nude female Dark Elf I shall display my lack of photographic abilities as well as my half acceptable painting style.

Wow, the anything goes category is really hotting up. Thanks for the kind comments re: the wee louts from Cheddar.

I'm loving Spenno's Greeks, TerryM's 'Austrians' and those converted French dragoons by Sheepman 1.  Applause

I wonder, how kosher is it to post constituents of my Cheddar army in other categories? I know a couple of others have done so, but how do the judges look upon such a thing? i.e., the tank in the vehicle section and one of the pike blocks in the fantasy section...

To be perfectly honest I think entering the same thing twice is pretty poor form, but then I'm not a judge. I personally won't be entering anything that I haven't specifically painted this year for this competition either, although the rules allow anything "not entered into a competition" before so i could enter any of my WW2 stuff. At a vehicle per entry I could probably do 100+ entries without breaking sweat as I'm sure many others could.

My view is that multiple entries in a single category are self defeating as you are likely to split the judges' votes between your entries.

Not sure about an army entry in open, that then appears in its constituent parts in the other categories.

Have to say that the stuff that's come in since I last had a proper look is between stunning and totally awesome....
The Wooden Spoon competition isn't really going very well though....Nowhere near bad enough....Sorry chaps  Wink Grin

I'm having my own individual 'Modelling and painting myself into a corner competition.'....(I can't get at some of the base now.....AARGH ! At wits' end )
I will win by default and also come last....So there ! Tongue

Cheers - Phil.

At the moment, I'm just hoping I can get a day with enough good daylight to get a decent picture taken of my entry.
