Next batch:

  • wood work finished :)
  • stockings done :)
  • scabbards & belts done :)
  • metal work done :)
  • bags started, too hot to paint last colour
  • bases labeled

I bought some pizza boxes yesterday at a local catering supply company
I've moved some of my 6mm figures and some terrain into some of the pizza boxes to free up space in my primary plastic draws for my growing ECW collect #:-S
Thanks to the forum for the suggestion

Current batch piccies taken :)

Paul, That is truly amazing work! And you are so fast!!!

I truly love all of your command elements!!!! Did you have any guides to go by or did you just create them? I am finding good info for generals hard to come by. I guess because they could wear what ever they wanted, but I still wish there was some kind of guide....maybe I need ot work one up???? Nah, the way I type it would turn out frightful!!!

Again, very ncie work!

I basically made them up :-[ ;)

There are a few portraits of some of the more significant commanders of the period but all of them are so controlled by the conventions of the time they provide little actual information

For example almost everyone wears black armour with the appropriate props reflecting their status...

Great work Paul 8).

I always think it worth treating pictorial info with care. Uniforms were often stylised to reflect the status of the sitter for the portrait, how much they could afford for the painter which then affected what paint he could use. Also certain colours had symbolism or a very high cost. Useful but not definitive by any means.

For my figures, I go with what will stand out on the table and to help differentiate units.

Gorgeous work....and so quick, as Terry says !! :)

we are not now that strength which in old days
moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are.
